Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) is a global humanitarian relief and development organization responding to human sufferings in emergency and disaster situations anywhere all over the world regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, color, cultural diversity and social background. HHRD Afghanistan (Regional Office of Helping Hand USA) got registered as an international INGO in February 2014 with the number of (402) with the ministry of economy in the Islamic republic of Afghanistan to serve Afghan destitute families all over Afghanistan, HHRD Afghanistan needs one Media Assistant & Video Editor, the candidate will receive 16500 AFN monthly.
Bachelor’s degree in Media Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field from a recognized university.
Minimum of three (3) years of proven professional experience working as a Media Assistant or in a similar media and communications role within national or international NGOs.
Experience in digital advertising, social media campaigns, and online content promotion is considered an advantage.
Familiarity with media planning, media buying, and communication campaign implementation.
Proficiency in photography, videography, and the use of video and photo editing software, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Canva, or similar tools.
Strong research and information-gathering skills with the ability to identify and develop engaging media content.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize assignments effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel to project sites, districts, and provinces as required by organizational activities.
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibiliites:
Responsible for photography and videography activities for Helping Hand International’s programs in Afghanistan, including:
Seasonal Programs
Orphan Support Program
Water for Life Program
Vocational Training and Alternative Livelihood Program
Food Security Program
Capture, edit, and deliver high-quality photos and videos in a timely manner for the organization’s print, digital, and multimedia communication needs.
Ensure that all photography and videography activities are conducted in accordance with the religious, cultural, social, and official values and guidelines of Afghanistan.
Assist in the preparation, design, and production of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual visual and printed reports.
Support the development, preparation, and distribution of press releases, media materials, and promotional content.
Maintain the confidentiality and security of all raw and edited photos, videos, reports, and media files. No organizational media materials may be shared with any external party without prior approval from the Country Director and Program Manager.
Inform the HHRD office at least five days before the end of each month regarding media and equipment requirements for the following month. Monitor and report the usage of media supplies and ensure the proper maintenance, cleaning, and safe handling of cameras and related equipment.
Attend training sessions, workshops, meetings, or assemblies at the Kabul headquarters when required, and travel to districts and provinces to document project activities, distributions, and field operations.
Provide support to colleagues and contribute to other organizational and project-related tasks as assigned by supervisors and management.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor that contribute to the successful implementation of HHRD programs and organizational objectives.
